Ingredients:
For the filling:
- 1 lb steak, thinly sliced
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
For the bread:
- 1 large baguette or loaf of Italian bread
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
Directions:
1. Prepare the filling: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the steak until browned, then remove and set aside. In the same skillet, cook the shrimp, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until the shrimp are pink and the vegetables are tender. Return the steak to the skillet, season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix in the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses until melted and well combined. Set aside.
2. Prepare the bread: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Hollow out the bread, creating a cavity for the filling. Fill the bread with the steak and shrimp mixture and place it on a baking sheet.
3. Bake: Brush the top of the bread with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is crispy and the filling is bubbly.
4. Serve: Allow the bread to cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy!
