Ingredients:
1 lb steak, thinly sliced
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
8-10 slices White American cheese
20 oz bag McCain Quick Cook Waffle Cut Fries
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Cook the Steak:
Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tbsp of olive oil. Once heated, add the thinly sliced steak. Season with garlic salt and black pepper, stirring to coat. Cook the steak until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
3. Prepare the Vegetables:
Reserve 1 tbsp of the liquid from the skillet and discard the rest. Return the skillet to the stove, and add sliced green bell pepper and onion. Cook until the vegetables are tender but the bell pepper still has a bit of crispness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
4. Layer the Fries and Toppings:
Spread a layer of McCain Waffle Fries in the skillet. Place 4 slices of White American cheese over the fries. Add a layer of cooked steak and vegetables. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining cheese on top.
5. Bake:
Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Serve:
Let it cool slightly, then serve hot and enjoy!
