Ingredients:
- Chuck roast
- Broccoli crowns
- Carrots (thinly sliced)
- Oil
- 2-3 tbsp corn starch
- Fresh Lo Mein noodles (or spaghetti noodles cooked according to the package)
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp ginger (minced)
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce
Directions:
1. Prepare the Beef:
- Thinly slice the beef into strips.
- Mix the beef strips well with corn starch in a bowl and set aside.
2. Prep the Veggies:
- Cut your vegetables and have them ready for cooking.
3. Make the Sauce:
- In a bowl, mix together oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sweet soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
4. Cook the Beef:
- Heat a pan on medium-high heat until slightly smoking.
- Add a couple of tablespoons of oil.
- Cook and sear the beef for about 3-5 minutes, then take the beef out of the pan and set aside.
5. Stir-Fry the Vegetables:
- Add two tablespoons of oil to the pan.
- Add the garlic, ginger, and all the vegetables.
- Stir-fry on medium heat until tender.
6. Combine and Cook:
- Add the noodles and beef back to the pan.
- Mix well from the bottom up for about a minute.
- Cover the pan for a couple of minutes.
7. Add the Sauce:
- Add the sauce mixture to the pan.
- Mix well and stir-fry for another minute.
8. Serve:
- Plate and enjoy your homemade Beef Lo Mein!
