Fluffy Homemade 🫓 A Simple and Delicious Recipe

 

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (plus extra for cooking)
- Optional: Herbs, garlic, or cheese for extra flavor

 Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
1. In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water. Add the active dry yeast and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
3. Mix the ingredients together until a sticky dough forms. If desired, add herbs, garlic, or cheese at this stage.
4. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Step 2: Cook the Flatbread
1. Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release any air bubbles.
2. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with olive oil.
3. Pour or spoon a portion of the dough onto the hot skillet. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula to spread the dough into a round, even layer.
4. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with the remaining dough.

Step 3: Serve and Enjoy
1. Once cooked, transfer the flatbreads to a plate and keep them warm under a cloth.
2. Serve warm as a side dish or use them as a base for various toppings.
