BRITISH BANGERS AND GARLIC BUTTER STEAK BITES AND CHEESY SMASHED POTATOES

Ingredients:

For the British Bangers:
- 8 British bangers (sausages)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

For the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes:
- 1.5 lbs baby potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives

Directions:

Step 1: Cook the British Bangers

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add bangers and cook, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through (about 10-12 minutes).
3. Remove from skillet and keep warm.

Step 2: Prepare the Garlic Butter Steak Bites
1. Season steak pieces with salt and pepper.
2. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.
3. Add steak bites and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
4. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute, until fragrant.
5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and remove from heat.

Step 3: Make the Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Boil baby potatoes in salted water until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain and let cool slightly.
3. Place potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Smash each potato gently with the bottom of a glass or a potato masher.
4. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over potatoes and return to oven for another 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
